Op vrijdag 23 oktober 2009, organiseert de Vereniging voor Weer en Sterrenkunde Noord-Drenthe tijdens Galilean Nights een Sterrenkijkavond voor publiek.
U krijgt de mogelijkheid, bij helder weer, om onder begeleiding van ervaren amateur-astronomen door echte telescopen naar o.a. Jupiter, en in het begin van de avond de kraters van de maan, en nog veel meer te kijken.
De locatie van deze activiteit is op het Balloërveld Noord, AA-hunze in de provincie Drenthe. Zie voor exacte plek de googlemap of onze website.

What exactly can we see in the sky? How does a radio telescope work? And what exactly is radio astronomy? These and other questions will all be answered during the Sterrendag Dwingeloo (Star Day Dwingeloo). On this day, the Planetron Cinedome, CAMRAS and ASTRON, Netherlands Institute for Radio Astronomy, organise different activities in the Planetarium of the Planetron and at the Dwingeloo Telescope. In the framework of Galilean Nights and "Nacht van de Nacht" (nachtvandenacht.nl) the Presik-heaven group is organising a starparty from 20:30 till about 22:30 hours in and on top of the Multifunctional Centre Presikhaven.
Various telescopes will give you the opportunity to see for yourself, from the roof of the Centre: craters on the moon, the cloud belts on Jupiter, its four Galilean moons, and much more. Inside we will show movies on astronomy and operate a computer controlled projection planetarium. So cloudy or clear skies, you are very welcome!
If you use public transport you can either walk from the train station Arnhem Presikhaaf or use the buses 20, 27 or 43. The name of the bus stop is "Lange Wal".
