There was also a competition for school students where around 50 students participated. 5 Galilean telescopes have been made available for these students to plot the moon and its craters, Jupiter and the Galilean satellites, Saturn, Venus. The Doon School, Dehradun, India has an Astronomy Society with 15 student members. The society is run by students and managed by a teacher. This time we will have a night sky view from 30.3 lat and 78 long from 8166 feet height on 24th October 2009. We will be staying in the camps and have 3-4 hours of night sky view of Jupiter and stars in the night while Saturn, Mars, Venus and may be Mercury early in the morning. The site of the camp site is at Buras Khanda which is 5 km before Dhanaulti near Mussoorie.
