SAC are going to hold 3 consequitive observing sessions for the Galilean nights IYA event. These will be 8pm onwards on the nights of the 22nd, 23rd and 24th of October (Thursday-Saturday) We'll have the club telescopes there as well as the big binos, some of the club members will have their scopes there also.
We'll be holding it at O'Callaghans strand in Limerick, in the same place we used earlier this year. This is a free event, open to everybody, so if you're in the area and want a peak at the Moon/Jupiter or whatever might be in the sky at the time, why not come along.

Kerry Astronomy Club will, weather permitting, hold another public observing event at the Tralee Aquadome carpark. It will take place on the first clear night from Thursday 22nd of October to Saturday night (24th).
It is a Free Public Star Party, part of the global event, the Galilean Nights an International Year of Astronomy 2009 Cornerstone Project.
Weather permitting we will have a selection of telescopes to show our Moon, the planet Jupiter, the four Galilean moons and perhaps more to all who drop by from 8:00 pm till 10:30. Everyone welcome.
